PRD IS NOW ONE OF THE MOST ADVANCED MANUFACTURERS OF KARTING ENGINES IN THE WORLD

PIONEERS AND INNOVATORS

PRD Race Engines is 100% owned and operated by the St George Karts group and benefits from over 50 years of karting expertise. St George Karts founder Peter Dell’s affiliation with race engines began in 1985 and in 1995 he formed the PRD Engine Company. To this day Peter and his team of engine specialists oversee all Research and Development across the PRD range of engines.

PRD race engines have become the engines of choice for thousands of drivers across Europe, USA, Asia, New Zealand and Australia. The brand has become synonymous with world class, high tech race engines designed, developed and built in Australia.

The PRD business is built on trust, ethics, reliability, engineering excellence, performance and stringent product testing. At the heart of everything the PRD engine company offers is the single value proposition, to build world class racing engines at affordable prices.

FEATURES OF ALL PRD ENGINES

Specification stability: PRD engines have limited component and specification changes over the life of the engine. This keeps costs to competitors down and ensures a level playing field.

Digital Ignition System: The European digital ignition system used on all PRD engines delivers reliable and controlled starting. Being digital, the technology also enables the engines to operate at peak performance even with low battery charge.

Rev limiter: PRD Easy Start Ignitions have a rev limiter with soft retard which prevents engines revving beyond their safest working RPM range.

Parity off the shelf: A key benefit of PRD engines is in the exact design tolerances. Many of our engine models are also fitted with a machined ports cylinder liner which ensures parity straight out of the box.

Specifically catered to local conditions: With more than 17 models in the range, PRD engines are customised to country specific requirements and unique racing rules.

Custom specifications: PRD has extensive experience in providing engines for local karting associations and has the ability and expertise to make adjustments or add extras to the components kit to accommodate local racing conditions.
